Your privacy is very important to Green Parking. This policy covers personal information whether it is collected and stored electronically, on paper or by other similar means. The policy covers the registration, storage and processing of personal information covered by the policy.

What is personal information?

Why do we process personal data?

  • To be able to fulfill our contract with customers regarding monitoring and charging for parking.
  • To be able to initiate a claim for non-payment of fees.
  • To be able to comply with the law on accounting and business.

Where does the personal data come from?

  • From a camera system connected to a Softra software system that takes pictures of license plates when driving in and out of parking lots serviced by Green Parking.
  • From the Samgungstofa's vehicle register if a claim needs to be made in the bank due to non-payment of fees.
  • From individuals if objections are submitted due to the imposition of fees.

How is personal information protected?

  • All connections between systems are encrypted.
  • Access to Green Parking's systems is access-controlled, and Green Parking's employees and those working on behalf of Green Parking each have their own access, so that the traceability of operations and access is guaranteed.
  • All employees of Green Parking and those acting on behalf of Green Parking are bound by a duty of confidentiality.

How long is the data stored?

  • Data is not stored longer than necessary.
  • Images of license plates are stored for a maximum of 1 month in the Softra software system.
  • When a late payment fee is applied, data may be stored longer in connection with the billing, but is deleted after the billing is complete.

What data do we collect?

  • We collect only the data and information that is necessary to perform the contractual services to our customers and to fulfill the legal obligations associated with that service.
  • Car number, names, social security numbers and addresses.
  • We use cookies to improve the add-on and user experience of the website. Cookies are safe, they do not contain code and cannot be used to access your computer.
  • Green Parking reserves the right to prepare non-personally identifiable information about statistics, summaries and summaries that cannot be traced to individual users in any way and to use for research, market presentations and for providing information to customers.

Is data shared with other companies?

  • Yes, it is sometimes necessary to share data with other companies, for example, personal information with contracted debt collectors and legal advisors who sometimes act on our behalf to get outstanding claims paid.
  • Green Parking may need to hand over data to public bodies such as the police or similar authorities.
