Hotel Aurora, Keflavik Airport
Green Parking ehf. manages parking areas in its own name as well as for companies and housing associations, and handles all services to car owners related to their use of paid parking areas on company locations.
This includes all parking spaces on the premises of the airport hotel, Hotel Aurora at Keflavik Airport, and they are all subject to charges.
There are about 200 parking spaces on three sides of the building and access is available from two places, each with entrance and exit.
Signs for paid parking are clearly displayed with information signs in both Icelandic and English.
Charges apply 24 hours a day, every day of the year:
- First 15 minutes free, payment required from arrival for longer stays
- Parking: 1,190 ISK per hour
- Full day: 8,500 ISK
Payment methods are as follows.
- Pay via the Easy Park app. A QR code is located on the signs to download the app. If users have CameraPark set in the app, payment will be collected automatically.
- Pay with a digital payment terminal with a QR code, located on the signs.
- Pay with the AutoPay app. If users have a payment card linked to the vehicle registration number in the app, payment is charged automatically.
In the apps, you enter information about the vehicle where you can, for example, tick "CameraPark" for payments to be collected automatically. The apps charge a service fee on top of the parking charge.

Payment options at Green Parking
Green Parking offers convenient and flexible payment methods, which may vary by location. In some areas a payment terminal is available on site, while in others only digital payment is possible. Information on which payment methods are available can always be found on the signs at each site.
Payment options
Either there is a payment machine on site and/or payment can be made digitally via the digital payment terminal on the Green Parking website.
Payment via on-site terminal
- You need to go to the payment terminal, enter your registration number and pay.
Payment via digital means
Digital payment is available via the website or mobile app.
Note: at some locations you may need to manually log your parking in the app.
- Via website: Enter your registration number and pay
- Via app: Enter your vehicle details or tick "Camerapark" so payment can be made automatically
Payment via Autopay
Autopay is an automatic payment solution based on a camera system that reads licence plates.
- When you drive into the parking area, a camera takes a photo of your vehicle's plate.
- On departure, another photo is taken and your stay is calculated.
- If you have a registered account and payment card with Autopay, payment is debited automatically – you don’t need to do anything.
- If you do not have an Autopay account, you can pay afterwards by going to the Autopay payment page and entering your registration number.
Autopay is available at Green Parking locations where a camera system is installed.
Payment via EasyPark
EasyPark offers digital payment for parking and is available at many Green Parking sites.
- You can pay with the EasyPark app or by scanning the QR code on the information boards at the site.
- In the app, you register your vehicle's number plate and select the appropriate area.
- You can activate the CameraPark option in the EasyPark app, which allows automatic payment where a camera system is in use.
- EasyPark adds a service fee on top of the parking charge according to its pricing.
Post-payment parking fee
A post-payment parking fee is charged if payment is not made before leaving the parking area.
Such a fee is applied to a vehicle in a paid parking zone when it is deemed that payment for parking has not been made, or only for too short a time.
The claim for this fee is issued to the national ID number of the vehicle owner or user, if registered as such in the vehicle registry. The claim will appear the same day in your online bank/banking app.
If the claim is not paid, it may be sent to a debt collection agency.
- Post-payment parking fee: 4,500 ISK
- A processing fee of ISK 250 is added to the overdue fee for an electronic invoice
Appeals regarding levied fees
The vehicle owner or user can appeal an overdue charge within 14 days of the fee being levied on the vehicle. Such appeals should be registered under the column "Contact us" and select "Comments regarding levied fees". Invoices can be accessed on your account at Green parking. There the main information is recorded, such as the vehicle number and location of the parking area.
A response will be sent by email within 14 days of the appeal being received.
