Harpa parking lot

Green parking ehf. handles the operation of parking lots at Harpa parking garage for Harpa as well as services for car owners in connection with the use of the parking lots.

545 parking spots are available on two floors.

ANPR cameras read the licence plate number at arrival. Kiosks are located within the area, one on each floor within the parking garage. It's possible to pay for parking in a kiosk which are located both near Harpa and Hafnartorg.

Pay by using a Kiosk in the area or the Easy Park or Parka app where you can fill out information about the vehicle and pay for parking.

You can insert information about the vehicle into the app EasyPark, including "CameraPark", which can be checked for automatic payments to take place.

The height limit for vehicles in the basement is 2.2 m.

Harpa parking garage

Chargeable parking lot 24/7. Metan and electric vehicles are also chargeable.

Hafnartorg parking garage

Chargeable parking lot 24/7. ANPR camera reads the license plate number at arrival. You can either pay before departure in a kiosk or via EasyPark or Parka app. Chargeable parking area named Hafnartorg.

Reykjastræti parking garage

Chargeable parking lot 24/7. ANPR camera reads the license plate number at arrival. You can either pay before departure in a kiosk or via EasyPark or Parka app. Chargeable parking area named Reykjastræti.

Price (Applies for Harpa)

  • 480 kr.- per hour
  • 3.600 kr.- a whole day
  • 25.000 kr.- per month

  • 660 kr.- per hour, between 08:00 AM - 22:00 PM
  • 340 kr.- per hour, between 22:00 PM - 08:00 AM

P labelled parking lot (Applies only for Harpa parking garage)

The owner of a P-labelled car receives a charge-free access to Harpa parking garage if the following conditions are met:

  1. The owner sends an e-mail to hjalp@greenparking.is no later than 3 hours before an event or a planned visit.

The following should be included in the email:

  • Name and social security number of the owner of the P-label
  • License plate number
  • Timeframe
  • A picture of the P-label

2. If cars are not verifiably notified by email in advance in accordance with this arrangement, the Harpa parking garage fee schedule will apply.

3. P-labelled cars should aim to park within a labelled P-parking lot which count for 19. A Non-payment fee will be sent for unmarked cars according to Harpa's parking garage fee schedule.

4. It is not permitted to leave a P-marked car in a parking space for longer than 10 hours. The parking garage fee applies after that time.

Non-payment fee

A non-payment fee 7.500 kr.- is imposed on a car in a paid parking lot when it is shown that no payment has been made for the car or payment has been made for too short a time. Claims for non-payment of fees are based on the social security number of the car owner or occupier, if he is registered in the vehicle register. The claim appears the same day in online banking/banking app. If the fee is not paid within 14 days of assessment, the claim is sent to intermediate collection and possibly to the collection of a lawyer with the associated costs.

The non-payment fee is reduced to 6,500 kr if paid within three days. A 250 kr. note fee is added to invoices.

Markings for paid parking are visible with information signs. Both at the kiosks and when driving into the parking garage, there are signs clearly stating which payment methods are available and which payment zone is available. Unfortunately, we cannot accept payments to other payment zones if the wrong payment zone is selected in the apps, e.g. Höfðatorg or P1-P4. The next day after the charge is made, the claim is created and sent to the vehicle keeper's/owner's online bank for collection. After the claim has been created, the fee can also be paid at banks and savings banks.

The car owner or occupier can make a note regarding the imposition of a non- or underpaid charge within 14 days of the imposition of the charge on the vehicle. Such a note is entered in the "Contact" column and there you select "Service". It contains basic information such as the vehicle number and the location of the parking area.

A reply will be sent by email within 14 days of the note's receipt.
